From a global pandemic to a racial moment to war, the world has navigated the unknown. Along with people individually traveling through eventful times, businesses have had to drive their operations in new directions. One of the most important aspects of businesses reacting to these world events is communication. As I study communication in my graduate education, I see parallels in my courses material to the real world around me. I've witnessed, as well as personally handled, leadership deciding how to communicate their positioning to their consumers. For example, businesses around the world have had to decide what they want to do about Covid protocols and then how they want to communicate that with their customers. There's no instruction manual on how a business should communicate every situation effectively, but it's important to learn with the world so we can prepare for the future.
