Continuously seeking new knowledge on the industry and current trends is crucial to being competitive in marketing strategies. Industry professionals in the advertisement and marketing worlds now more than ever have to rapidly keep up with new innovations and consumer online trends.

The above bullet about "experiences are the new social currency" merges my studies and experiences in the marketing and event management subjects. Events can serve as a marketing opportunity to be face to face with consumers, but they also present opportunities for additional reach through reposting on social media or sharing by word of mouth. The digital marketing world is so easily integrated in established practices. I think those that go far are those that learn how to merge digital into their marketing efforts to create maximum efficiency of campaigns.
